Follow the steps below to see if you can control air conditioner with Adapter. 1. Check if the air conditioner is the chilling water system or refrigerant system. If the indoor unit is controlled by 100-240 voltage thermostat. It is chilling water system. You need to use the Adapter Pro series adapter to control it. If the indoor unit is controlled by 2-4 wires DC voltage thermostat, it is refrigerant system. It needs next checking to confirm. 2. If the air conditioner is the refrigerant system. You need to check the brand and indoor unit model to confirm if it is compatible to adapter. 3. If the air conditioner is confirmed can be controlled, you need to check if the original thermostat’s cable can be replaced by CAT6 cable. 4. You need to confirm that if you can pull the extra power cable from the indoor unit to power the adapter.
